Feeling Good...

So yesterday (Day 2 Phase 2) went well!

Lunch - the same as dinner the night before! I can honestly eat steak at any point during the day, except maybe breakfast.

Dinner - Shrimp, tomatoes and 2 grissini bread sticks.

I didn't have any headaches. I was a bit hungry between lunch and dinner - but realized that I probably ate lunch a little earlier then I should have. After dinner snack I made my Apple Bake - and it was aaamazing.

I have no scale at home so I can't talk about how much weight I have or have not lost. I will be getting one soon. Me doing this isn't really about a number loss to me. It's more about how I feel and how I look.

I see more curve on my sides then I did when I started and feel a bit thinner around my waist. But I have a very long torso - seriously my belly button is in the MIDDLE of my stomach. So the area I am looking forward to seeing an improvement on is what everyone calls "the mom pooch."

So here is to another day!
Took my morning drops - and I'm READY for the NEW YEAR!

What are your NYE plans? How are you ringing it in?

Day 2 Phase 2

So last night was good!
I grilled up some sirloin steak with garlic and dill weed (all sugarless).

DINNER - 3.5 oz of steak, 1 whole raw tomato (I LOVE them), 2 pieces of Melba toast and then after I treated myself to my Strawberry & Lemon Slush (photo under Meals & Recipes)

Took a couple advil - my headache wouldn't go away.

The slush was the best part of the day, I love getting creative like that! Can't wait to see what else I come up with!

SO ---- Day 2 Phase 2 ----

BREAKFAST - 10 drops under tongue and water. I need to buy coffee so I have it. I can't stand tea so that is out of the question.

I have a headache again, but my house is really dry...and I often wake up with a headache so I'm going to take some more advil and see what happens. I'm not hungry at all :)

Weird...but good! STARVING to not so much!

So I left my drops - I've had a KILLER HEADACHE since about 2pm. And my stomach is fluent in some language that is unknown to me...

Came home and as suggested I took the missed dose of drops - right away. Can you seriously believe my stomach has now forgotten how to speak?

I can't say I'm not hungry because I know I am - but I'm not like FEED ME!! FEED ME!! - just wanted to share!

I'm posting photos of my dinner later or tomorrow!
Found some amazing simple dishes that I can't wait to try out!

Day 3 - I could cry!

SO mad at myself! I left my drops at HOME!
So I took the first 10 this morning at like 5am - ate an apple (because I forgot to buy coffee)...

I still ate the correct lunch 3.5 oz of Tuna and 2 cups of Tomatoes. I'm drinking water like a fish...

I will just take the drops as soon as I get home. Then wait 2 hours. Take more and then wait the half hour to eat....

Geeez. I created more work for myself.

I have noticed that I am NOT really hungry when I take the drops correctly. I seriously had to force feed myself on those 2 pig out days.

I wasn't hungry until about noon when I ate lunch. Now I'm noticing I feel hungry :( I'm drinking lots of water, so I hope it keeps me full until tonight!

Facts About HCG

Hi Everyone!

So I'm starting this blog pretty much to hold myself accountable to doing this for the full term!
I'd love to read your comments if you have also tried this diet...

I've tried all the basic diets including: 6 Week Body Makeover and P90X (which does work wonders I just don't have the time to commit to it anymore.)

So a friend suggested I try HCG when she herself lost 20 lbs in 20 days!

How does it work? In case you are wondering...
From: http://www.myhcgpage.org/protocol.php

There are 4 phases to the diet: Phase 1, start taking hcg (10 drops, 3x daily) and gorge "pig out" for the first 2 days.  Phase 2, start the restricted diet as shown below.  HCG should be taken for 23-40 days max.  Phase 3, once off of HCG, you stabilize for 3 weeks (maintain a +/- 2Lbs from end weight), you will consume 1500-1800 calories depending on your current weight to maintain your new weight, while you slowly add carbs and sugar back into you diet. P4 Enjoy a healthy lifestyle, increase your calories a little more to maintain, if you exercise you may add more calories, if you have more weight to lose ... You can start another round!

Breakfast:  Tea or coffee without sugar. (Use Stevia, zero calorie all natural sweetner) Only 1 tablespoon of milk allowed in 24 hours.
Drinks:
Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water (2 liters of water per day is recommended) are allowed, and may be taken in any quantity and at all times.
The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes. (I make Iced tea, with lemon or lemonade all sweetened with Stevia, I even use the Stevia on sliced strawberries)
 Lunch:
100 grams (3.5oz) of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. Remove all visible fat before cooking.Could be boiled or grilled without additional fat. (Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed, beef should be extra lean)
Choose 1 vegetable from the following: (2 cups) spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage, lettuce.
1 breadstick (grissino) or 1 Melba toast.
1 apple, orange, or a handful of strawberries or 1/2 grapefruit.

*Dr. Simeons picked these particualr foods because of their composition and break down in the human body, which is why other fruits and veggies (even though they may have less calories) are not on the protocol.
     Dinner:  Same choices as lunch
    Other Notes:
Salt, pepper,  vinegar, mustard powder, curry,  garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, majoram, etc., may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter or dressing.   (I personally  have also used green chives, dill and sugar free salsa by la victoria) **Also make sure your spices are sugar free!
The fruit or the breadstick may be eaten between meals instead of with lunch or dinner (I've also had them for breakfast or as a smoothie)
Very occasionally we allow egg – boiled, poached or raw – to patients who develop an aversion to meat, but in this case they must add the white of three eggs to the one they eat whole.
Cottage cheese made from skimmed milk is available 100 grams may occasionally be used instead of the meat.
SO - what do you think? Let's try this sucker out!
Already took my first set of drops - and am about to make myself a plate filled with butter fried eggs and bacon. OMG...I think I just gained 5 lbs thinking about that...
